Paul's Grandfather passed away on Friday, August 29th at 9:00pm in Sarasota, FL. He'd been in the hospital for the last few months trying to fight both lung cancer and pneumonia.
From the first time I met him, almost 5 years ago, I felt an immediate fondness and kinship for him. Perhaps because I never got a chance to get to know any of my own grandparents. Or maybe it was just him and the energy he carried. I will never forget his warm smile or his gentle way. Even more so, I will always regret that Maxine didn't have the opportunity to meet her Great Grandpa.

It is of some comfort to know that is he no longer in pain and that is he watching over us. I know Maxine will always have a guardian angel in him.
